Thanks to work, I finally got a chance to really explore Austin. I'd been there a couple of times before but had never ventured very far from downtown. I found out that the rest of the city is fantastic. I also found some great resturants. The three I would recommend are Truby's (Tex-Mex), Kerby's Place (Organic food cafe) and Scholz's Garten (German food). The only minus about the place is its traffic. Really quite terrible.

Zilker Park is the Central Park of Austin. It seemed like everyone in the city was using it.

Didn't have a chance to eat here but I did get a look at the view of Lake Travis from its deck.

Watched a minor league game between the hometown Round Rock Express and Fresno Grizzles. Great park to take in a game.
