Memphis, TN

We arrived in Memphis yesterday afternoon under blue skies....first time since we left New Bern. Memphis is a great city. As much as Nashville is country, memphis is Blues and Rock. There a lot of life in this town and everyone is casual, laid back and happy. The specialty here are dry rubbed ribs...excellent! We also took a horse carriage tour around town which was great.

The funniest of all: we went to the Peabody hotel, the most luxurious hotel in Memphis to see a group of trained ducks walk from the fountain where they spend the day to the elevators. Apparently they are very famous. It was very amusing to see 200 people watching 5 ducks take a walk...
