Us at Graceland, Sincerely Elvis
Arrived in Memphis and again the heat was a real killer, we had to find a hotel to stay in as there are no Hostels. We ended up staying in the Sleep Inn and it was way over priced 139 dollars a night fs........
We ended up out that night on Beale street and it was completly buzzin!! Every other bar there seemed to be an Elvis on or something to do with him, the street corners and alleys were packed with bands playing blues, every1 was dancin in the street to music. We ended up in Coytee Ugly for a few hours watchin the girls dancin on the bar, it was some guys birthday, he was brought up to the bar, bent over, his boxers were pulled right up from the back off his jeans until they were ripped off, then he got ice cubes poured down and then beat so hard with a leather strap that you could see the welts on his arse.....we actually felt a bit sorry for him. Many J D'S later we ended up at a club somehow??? A few more drinks and we were ravin to the blues like the two dicks that we are, it was really good night~ I even lost my good Diesel watch.
Wow what a hangover i had the next day, I didnt do very much i was fully dying, but Colin went out to see a few bands and get a few pictures.
The following day we headed for Graceland, to be honest i wasnt expecting much as im not really an Elvis fan but what a great day we had. We arrived there just after 12 and queued for the Graceland tour~ we were given headsets and got on a bus that took us to the house. Priscilla and Lisa Marie spoke about Elvis at different points in the house, and Elvis spoke about different things he had in the house of how he came about obtaining them.
It took well over 2 hours to get round the Mansion and the garden were Elvis is buried. It was the 30th anniversary (week) of Elvis's death it was really busy and outside they had a full show of Elvis impersonators. We also went to Sincerely Elvis, Elvis after dark and to see his planes and car lot. That night we ended up in Beale street again drinkin shots
