Smoky Mountain National Park

I had a few hours to kill after leaving the Biltmore so decided to drive to the Smoky Mountain National Park since it was so close and see a little of it. Did not have a lot of time so mainly stuck to the road. Stopped at the observations points along the way for some photos and headed back shortly after crossing the state line sign halfway through the Park.

Unfortunately, the Park wasn't as green yet this time of year as I was hoping so that dampered my photo taking a bit. It was also suprisingly clear so didn't get to see that heavy "fog" that makes the mountains look smoky. The Park is home to many Rivers and Creeks. There was lots of water running this time of year so little waterfalls all around everywhere you looked. Had it been a bit greener and if I had had another day, I would have tried to stop and see many of the significant waterfalls.

On the way out of the Park, got to see a small herd of elk grazing on the new green grass. Pretty park that I hope to come back to see someday when I
