Day 33

Today we had 298 miles to travel from Tupelo, MS. to. Cookeville, TN. We had 281 miles of the Natchez Trace to drive and Nashville, TN. to drive through, we left at 6:50 am and arrived at our motel in Cookeville, TN. at 4:00 pm. Drove through three States today MS., AL. and TN. Stopped at grave site of Meriwether Lewis, of Lewis and Clark fame, who died here in 1809. Passed over the 155 ft. high bridge which spans over Birdsong Hollow, this bridge was completed in 1994 and received the Presidential Award for Design Excellence in 1995. The temperature was comfortable and no rain. We're back to what we're used to, hills and curves in the road. When we got to our motel, I called an old Air Force friend who has a cabin in Gainsboro, TN., the three of us went to Cracker Barrel for supper and reminisced until 8:45 pm.

Glad to see that you enjoyed your trip up the Natchez Trace Parkway and took time to see the Meriwether Lewis Nationa Memorial site. It\'s a peaceful place for a rest stop on one of the best drives in the country. Hope the Gator tape is holding with all the rain you have been through. Good luck on the last few days of your trip of a lifetime.

Well known in America
I believe that you know people in every State in the U.S. Don't get a big head but you look much younger than any of your friends. Would you be willing to run for President??????? You got my Vote.
