More historic sites

Day 170 (Tuesday 06/10/09, NJJ)
Had the worst breakfast that we've had at any motel of our travels - dry mini donuts and unpleasant coffee. Drove to Charleston. Stopped to visit Magnolia and Drayton Plantations but didn't go in cos we were too tight to pay. Parked in downtown Charleston. Walked around the markets and streets to see the historical homes and then along the peninsula. Had a buffalo chicken footlong at Subway. On the Fort Sumter visitor centre then Fort Moultrie to walk around the fort and to see Fort Sumter in the bay. In Spartanburg we ended up checking in to an Econo Lodge where we have microwave dinners and watched hours of TV.
