We left Buffalo and headed south to Pennsylvania. On the way out of town, we passed through some neighborhoods and saw some interesting yard art. Susan and Pam were telling Claire, she should do some of this in her new lot. One item was some fake people “pot heads”. They really were pot heads as their heads were flower pots. After leaving town, we drove in the rain through farm land and on country roads. We passed one corn field and the corn was VERY little. Pam said, “that’s where they grow the little corns for the salad”. We all got a good laugh.
There was not a direct path to the area we were heading. Our route did take us by some large lakes and along several rivers. We passed through many small towns. In Geneseo, we stopped at the “Tree Creations Tree House Park”. This family has made a whole series of tree houses with unique items. The first thing you see is an old 1930’s car up in the tree. It is connected to the rest of the complex. The kids for this family must love

Sushi escargot. playing out here. The parents must like it to, as their barbeque grill was located under part of the complex.
We then continued over the country roads. Dorothy (GPS) at times takes us on some weird routes. Today she took us on a dirt road for a bit that went over a wooden bridge. We passed some Amish fishing once we got back on the paved road. Our next stop was the caboose motel. You too could stay in a caboose, if you like.
A bit down the road we crossed into Pennsylvania and saw some lakes and followed more rivers. In Williamsport, we got off on LoyalSock st (you know the kind of sock that sticks to your shirt and you wear around half the day). There was a park where we ate lunch. In Muncy, we found the twisted steel arch but several of our other stops were disappointing and not what we envisioned. We then got to Lewisburg and it was a lovely colonial looking town. Bucknell university, where Don went to college, is located there.
Our next stop was in Dauphin, the statue of liberty in the Susquehanna River. This was the hardest

tree house village thing to see. There was a road near the river, but to get to it, you had to go way out of the way and I still don’t think you could see it. We saw a sign for a scenic overlook. We turned and went to it. It was a little deck looking over the road we were just on and a tree. So, we decided to drive to the other side of the river. We didn’t have any luck there, but Pam and Claire shot a couple pictures as we drove back by on the way to our next stop.
In Duncannon, right along our route, we saw the Giant Purple dragon. Claire posed with a Shelly pose and then we continued down the road to Hershey. We went to the Chocolate World Factory and did the tour. Claire went 20+ years ago. At the end of the tour then, you got a full Hershey bar. Now they are cheaper and all you get is a small Halloween sized one. Claire got an extra one because it was her birthday.
We then headed to dinner to celebrate Claire’s birthday. After dinner, we found the Capitol and drove

car in tree house through downtown Harrisburg and then headed to our hotel in Mechanicsburg. As we crossed the Susquehanna River again. Susan and Pam asked Claire to try to pronounce it again. You must understand, we have followed the river almost all day long and, Claire had yet to pronounce it correctly at this point. There had been at least 20 different versions. As we drive across the river the last time, we spotted a bunch of dead bridges that looked like Roman aqueducts. Claire snapped a picture with the sunset in the background.
As we loaded our luggage onto the luggage cart, we noticed our cart had a sign telling us, our cart was named Larry. (see the pictures for his story) From our hotel room, Claire got to view a firework show. That made her happy since she was missing the one in Carolina Beach.

Love, love the dragon. I want one. How about I get it and lend it to Claire for her lot? You three sisters are having a wonderful time. Who knew there was so much to do?
