Hershey PA was more than chocolate. Rolling farmlands with prestine farms owned by the Amish. We toured the Cornwall Iron Furnace which was active from 1742-1972 when a hurricane flooded the iron mine.

We visited the Ephrata Cloister which was started by German Conrad Beissel in 1691. He was the original "Kool Aid Prophet," settling in a Mennonite area of Hershey, he inspired "sisters and brothers" to join him in a life of bleak solitude.

Onto Ashtabula, OH which had delightful covered bridges everywhere. Of course touring the wine vineyards was a must do (at least for Karen.)
