We had a really peaceful ride through the wilds of Western Pennsylvania. It's wonderful to see so many trees and healthy forests. We visited with Jeremy for a couple of hours then headed home through the worst rain storm I can remember driving through. I was very thankful to be in Pennelope and be higher off the wet roads, able to see better than being in a car. We were truly blessed to make it home safely and all was well with the house.

Oscar and I traveled 5470 miles, got 14 mpg, and drove an average of 350 miles a day (about 6 hours). The trip was all I wanted it to be and more, a truly liberating and exhilerating experience. What a start to years of exploring!

Next trip is in January 2012 to the sunny state of Florida. Stay tuned........
