This was our first time at the Creation Festival,
I can honestly say that this was another God Stop in my life. Our 2 teens were supposed to go last year but the festival was cancelled due to flooding. So this year the kids were scheduled to go and my husband & I were not.
about a month or so before the trip I was praying for God to give me an oppurtunity to be able to have some Bonding time with the older kids. A few days went by when I received a phone call from one of the youth leaders asking if Pete (my Husband) & I would like to take the place of the velez's who are moving to SC. I was like Wow! I told her I wanted to speak to Pete about it, we got back to her with a "Yes" of course.
"Thank You Jesus!"
Well again we both were struggling with going and wanted to run the other way a few times, "Thank God" we, were obligated as youth leaders on the trip, or we probably would have missed out on one of God's oppurtunities. He has a perfect Plan of getting
us there every time.
You know a little of how I get anxiety from my Harvey Cedars Blog.
Well, when it comes to anxiety my husband can be worse than I am.
He to is a new Christian & has been struggling with things in his life, like quiting smoking, (smoking probably being the most hard)
Needless to say I have been praying without ceasing for him to want to quit and to do it successfully for God's purpose, Not mine.
Thursday evening @ Creation we had the oppurtunity to hear Ron Luce the 7:50 Speaker
He was speaking of " who's Brand are you"
Basically he spoke of how the world brands you into thinking you can't live without all it has to offer and what that does to our relationship with God, How God will set us free from that with our faith in his promise, I am no speaker so that is just a summary of what I got out of it.
At the end of this he called us all who had theses brands to throw them over the fence if that is what God was laying upon us to do. Pete the kids &
I went up to the alter.
Pete to my amazement threw his cigerettes and lighter over the fence.
"Thank you Jesus!"
I am amazed truly truly amazed How Our heavenly Father answers prayers, Not just mine either, if you could have seen all the people there 75,000.-80,000- and these people were all experirencing God in Relationship in one way or another on different levels of their spirituality.
Well, It did not end there, about 5/6 of the kids, Pete, & I made a prayer cirlce and we prayed for him and in thanks giving.
I am in love with my Lord, & I can tell you he is Awesome, He can do things that I have seen no other do.
I am still praying for Pete every time I see he is struggling, while he is working, when I wake, before I sleep and even in my sleep, I know this is hard for him,
Again I see God's Glory as I have seen Pete Struggle many times to quit & this time, If I did not know I wouldn't know.
"Thank you Jesus!"
Our time at Creation was Awesome & Praise the Lord for getting us there,
and for the Bands, speakers, and everything else Creation had to offer, even the port o potties and cold showers.
The lookout was Awesome The Hike there was exhilerating !

AGAPE FARM CAMPGROUND
The Agape Farm is located halfway between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike. It's a beautiful site nestled among Pennsylvania's spectacular Allegheny Mountain ranges. At the base of a three hundred foot mountain is a natural amphitheater which is used for the main stage area. A forest trail winds to a peak of this mountain which provides a magnificent view of the valley below. The campground is spread over several hundred acres of land. More than a third of the land is forest with the remaining acreage made up the gently rolling grasslands. (Note: The Agape Farm is available for church retreats throughout the year. If you would like to schedule a time to utilize the Agape Farm please contact Jesus Ministries by going to: Agapefarm.net
