Here is a short summary of the past couple of days....

9/8/2005
We left Memphis, TN at 7:00am and began our drive through Arkansas to our destination of Oklahoma City. We followed I-40 West across the entire state of Arkansas. Nothing eventful happened as we didn't stop for any tourist type activities. We did notice some 'different' location names....like "Toad Suck State Park". Makes you wonder how they came up with such a name in the first place.

We arrived in Oklahoma City around 3:00pm and had no problem finding Ivan's house. Thank goodness for internet directions LOL.

We were all so tired we didn't do much else except visit and catch up.

Kim and I needed some emergency 911 work done on our hair. Luckily Ivan could squeeze us in at his shop. (He is a wonderful stylist and colorist...if ever in Oklahoma City look him up).
We spent the morning visiting with Ivan's co-workers and clients....it was a lot of fun.

That evening we all went (Ivan, Jeff, Kim and I) to see the play "Steel Magnolias". This is a very good play which was made into a successful movie starring Julia Roberts and Sally Field. I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was kinda funny to spend my morning in a hair salon....then spend an evening watching a play that took place entirely in a hair salon.

Ivan had to work today....so Jeff, Kim and I ran errands and such. A total lazy day really.

So, to all those following our trip cross country....stay tuned. We plan on seeing some sights here in Oklahoma City and will post pictures and stories.
