Lexington Barbeque
THE place to get BBQ in western NC.In about four days, I’ll be leaving for Europe and as trite as it may sound, I’m really freakin’ excited. I’ve been preparing and planning for weeks, but now the packing has to begin. Today, the family took a trip up to Winston-Salem so I could collect some things for the trip and so that my parents could check up on the condo. The trip wasn’t eventful, except for the stop at one of the best places to get a bite to eat in the state of North Carolina: Lexington Barbeque. We anticipated a long line when we got there as there was a giant church bus out front but luckily we only had to settle for a smoking seat. We made it just in time too, as the infamous line formed behind us. After downing a mouthwatering tray of barbeque and a few cups of sweet tea we headed back to Charlotte. The daunting task of laundry and packing remains, but with a little (lot) of help, it shouldn’t be too tough....
