no ones favorite job
After a lovely turkey dinner with friends last evening it is time to get some needed boat chores completed. All the fuel filters are now changed,oil and it's filters are changed,laundry completed and boat has been scrubbed. In any case you get the idea.
We are off to West Marine in a loaner car to pick up a few needed items, and await word from a local marina regarding hauling out...shaft packing needs changing, Kingston Marina slings damaged our expoxy barrier coat, so that must be repaired and the cutless bearing needs checking. We have a devoloped an unusual noise at certain rpms so out we come again. It looks like we will be in Beaufort for a few days.
Many folks we met along the way that were planning to go outside from here, have changed their minds due to persistant strongish winds from undesirable directions, or winds from desirable directions that are too strong.
We have as I mentioned found dolphins, I am told there are alligators in the area and poisonous snakes. That explains the really really short grass....no snakes hiding on the lawn. I will confess publically to a fear of snakes, so I

watch for them and try to give even the most harmless among them a wide berth.
