We were able to sleep in today! Yippee! We had a nice breakfast and headed out for Niagara Falls. It was a 2 hour drive from our hotel in Erie and we made it in no time at all. The traffic flowed right through Buffalo, NY and into the parking area at the falls. We were able to get right up front in parking lot 1 next to the visitor center. It was a short walk to see the falls. They were spectacular! But I must say the rapids above the falls were amazing! We took several photos and watched the people board the mist boats. They pack them on like sardines in blue rain jackets. It was quite the site. We walked around and looked at a few things, went to the Hard Rock to have a cold drink, let the kids to get their Hard Rock Hurricane drink, and headed back out and east. Next stop Watertown, NY. It was an easy 4 hour drive through Syracuse and then north to Watertown. What a great day!
Tomorrow – Middlebury, VT via the Adirondacks and Lake Placid. Should be another beautiful drive.
