Our second adventure to the "city" was to New York City and tour the new World Trade Center. It always an adventure getting in to the city... Since we didn't want to pay upwards of $80 a day to have a campsite closer to the city, we chose to stay at the Navy Base in New Jersey. This equates to a 2 hour train ride to Penn Station in NYC. There we transfer to the subway. We thought we were directionally challenged above ground, try being 4 stories down under. Once you emerge into the streets of NYC the confusion continues. Somehow between the two of us we have only gotten lost a few times.

The World Trade Center was simply amazing. When you rise to the 101st floor you have a 360 degree view of the city. The tributes to those who lost their lives that day are very emotional. The city crumbled that day, but it is showing the rest of the world the US won't stay down for long.
