I said we could watch the game from here but Jesse wasn't going for it.
Today is easy to describe. We got up, had breakfast, went to the game, came home, ate dinner, watched TV and went to bed. Well, there was a little more to it than that. Sue is doing much better, but still not quite up speed. The cough is still persistant and the energy level drops off by late afternoon, but at least we're all getting out again. It was our first trip on the 7 train, the Flushing Line, so that was a real nostalgic trip for me. Imagine, we walk 2 blocks, get on the Broadway local, change at Times Square, and were buying our tickets within a half hour. Wish we could get to SBC that quick without having to park for $2.00 each. We bought our nose bleed seats and headed for the upper deck. When we got to the top of the escalator, we found our section and seats and got settled. It was after a few innings that I realized that there was another escalator that we missed, so we were actually sitting in the Mezzanine much closer than we should have been. Even at that we moved down closer and no one said anything the

whole game. The kids got paddleball sets as a promotion and at the end of the game, were going to run the bases. When we got out of the stadium we went around to the center field gate and waited to get in to the field. While we were "on" line the sky just opened up and dumped on us. They cancelled the dash and on the way back to the subway platform we got soaked to the skin. Being a hot, sticky day, it actually felt really good. We picked up some food on the way back at that great Fairway Market and ate at home and actually had some time to kick back and relax.
On our first day, during our whilwind driving tour, Murray had mentioned that a really great museum to check out is the Tenement Museum at 97 Orchard St on the Lower East Side. So with the down time I checked it out on the internet.(Judy has cable broadband and I'm loving it) Well they hav such an extensive website, with a virtual tour with audio, pictures, and so much history that I almost feel like I,ve been there. I'd certainly recommend you

check it out. It takes a while to get through it all because there's so much content, but it's very interesting and really gives a good picture of what life was like for the immigrants of the mid 1800's. I don't know if we'll actually get to the live tour or not, but even if we do this is way better than me trying to describe it. So check it out at http://www.tenement.org/
Well tomorrow we'll be hitting the streets again if Sue is up to it, or else we'll take the Circle line, either around Manhattan or to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We'll see........
