Woke up to Utopia Bagels! Eggs, cheese and sausage! YUM!
Drove to Fire Island to tour the Lighthouse and walk the beaches. www.fireisland.com
I'd say I went swimming, but I really just got tossed around by the waves. Head over heels! The water was amazingly warm and fun to play in.
After a relaxing time playing on the beach, got cleaned up in one of the shower houses and headed to Jones Beach Theater for a Jimmy Buffett concert. www.jonesbeach.com
I can't think of a better evening for Jimmy to croon! The breeze was just right. The moon was out. The boats and the water. I was invited to NY for the concert and, silly me, thought it would be in Madison Square. What a treat to be surprised with Jones Beach. Although no beer is served in the stadium... very strange!
After the concert, we took out the lawn chairs and chilled in the parking lot while the crowd fought their way out of town.
Starving, we had to stop for a CHEESEBURGER at a diner on the way home. The diner actually had mini-jukeboxes on the tables. Very cool!
