As my journey starts at Cortland in New York state, our destination is Manhattan, New York. We take off at noon, everything goes fine until we want to use the new GPS, dad types 222 East 39 st. New York, New York. Dad and mae (mom in Thai language) agree to trust our new technology. We are on the highway and cruising and all sudden the GPS tells us to go on the local road, something does not seem right but well we have to trust GPS. We are on local road of New Jersey, where everythings is interesting, pass through the town of Korean, Chinese, African americans, yes we are in USA where everybody comes here for better life, if you are wondering why I say this because I am from a small town named Cortland where 90 % of populations are white.
Ok back to GPS, since we left the highway already takes 1 hour and we don’t know where we are going, we just sit in the car in the traffic jam and all sudden it takes us to the Holland tunnel, yeah we finally get to Manhattan we thought. Guess what we lost, it took us in
the Manhattan and out again in some tunnel now we are in some town and stupidly we still trust the GPS, it finally takes us to New York town the same address at somebody house, I thought that we are visiting somebody house.
So my dad types again in the GPS the address of hotel, sure enough there are two New York, this time we trust it again, and it takes us over the bridge to Manhattan, HOORAY we are in Manhattan and this time eventhough if the GPS lady tells us to go out of Manhattan again we are not going to, we learn our lesson. Finally we arrive at the Eastgate tower we are going to stay for two nights, first thing I think I want to run around so much since I have not run for 5 and half hours. So far so good I have been a good boy the whole way.
When we get to the hotel room, I thought we are in the wrong room, it is huge two bedrooms two bathrooms with a living room and a kitchen, it is not what my mae booked. They made our day by upgrading us to
Rockefeller building
Too foggy, we did not go there, just walk pass. two bedrooms suite, I think probably she thinks I am cute and a good boy.
As soon as we check in to the hotel, we take a walk on the street, I have never seen so many big tall buildings in my life, it is amazing. The weather is not so bad, but tomorrow it is supposed to rain all day.
We wake up today and go to Thai embassy to get my Thai passport. Everybody there loves me, I sawaddee to the guy (hello in Thai language) and then take the photo for Thai passport. Too bad it is raining and we cannot walk on the street like last night.
We take some walk to FAO store, I don’t realize it is quite far because I just sit on my stroller and my dad pushes me, it is very interesting to see so many people, cars, and lifestyles. We were going to Rockefellar building but my dad said it is foggy and we will not be able to see anything so we just walk pass the building. After FAO store we go to eat at Cowgirl Redflame, it is a family friendly restaurant in NY located on Greenwich village,
my dad and mae think that it is good food, my dad mentions when he sees this restaurant he thinks of his little sister would open this type of restaurant because all decorations in the restaurant remind him of my aunt Kris. After we eat, we go to timesqures and Toyrus store, it is the biggest Toyrus store I have ever seen, I really enjoy playing the toys on the shelf. It is still raining now so we could not do much. Anyway I enjoy my day so far.
My last day in New York, we are going back to Thai embassy. The way back we are walking on the street and we see a Vietnamese restaurant names BOI so we want to give it a try, this place is jam pack with people, maybe the food will be good. The food turns out to be excellent, very good service and very good healthy food, i would give it 5 stars. Eventhough it is raining all the time, i still enjoy my trip since everything is so new to my little bright eyes, i am sure one day i will be back here again.
