We spent three night here at the Jazz on the Park hostel in uptown Manhatten. This was the first and last time we decided to share a dorm room in the States because it was pretty scummy and Sara got an unpleasant view in the morning of the man in the next bunk with no pants. Anyway, we spent a few days just wandering round the city doing the usual stuff - a ferry past the Statue of Liberty, walked through Central Park, went up the Empire State, visited a museum and bought some flip flops.
