Never to much chocolate

We meet Margaret and Yvette at Central Park Zoo to check out the animals and see if we could find the gay penguins. Although the zoo was small they had a lot of animals and was set out beautifully. We’re in the rainforest area and noticed a dark fish tank that had piranhas in it. At the time I read the sign a leaf fell in front of me and I just moved thinking a fish had gotten out of the tank ... definitely a brown undies moment Mum enjoyed their clock that chimed on the hour and half hour.
As it was a lovely warm day we decided to stroll around the park and check it out. There was a lot of tourists about but we managed to have a ride on the carousel, see the Imagine tribute and Strawberry Fields with a lovely lunch at the tavern on the green

Unfortunately we were unsuccessful at becoming the random South Supporters in the crowd at our final sporting event, a ice hockey game between the New York Rangers verses The New York Islanders. The islanders got out to a 3 to 1 lead early but by full time it was all tired up. It was still 3all after extra time so went to a penalty shootout and the Islanders were to good for the Ranges and won the shoot out 2 to 1

Yvette, Mum and myself set off for Brooklyn to visit the Transit Museum. The museum is located at an old subway station and covers all forms of transport in New York. I found it fascinating and loved the sections on extreme weather conditions affecting public transport and the 9/11 attack and what they learnt from them. It brought the buff out in me. I was glad to see that Melbourne’s Dumb Ways to Die campaign featured in the world transport section but surprise that Sydney Train ... our world class railway didn’t even get a look in... ?

We made the fatal mistake of finding a Target store and spent a fortune on chocolate. That’s not so bad but we had to carry it back over the Brooklyn Bridge. Possibly not our greatest idea but the chocolate was on special and we found a few unusual flavours.
Brooklyn Bridge was very busy and slightly scary with bike riders speeding by

Our last night before we boarded our Disney Cruise, Yvette booked us tickets to see the Great Jack-o-Lantern Pumpkin Blaze and we are all excited to see it. Besides it’s another train trip out of New York to experience. The Blaze was on the grounds of a manor and was an exhibition of carved pumpkins. It was amazing and we all loved it
