Oct 31. Oyster Bay, NY to Atlantic Highlands, NJ
Long Island Sound Leg.

We hauled anchor at 0746 and left Oyster Bay, NY at 0757.
We went around Rocky Point and headed 287º for 9.76 nm.
At 1006 we went by Execution Rocks and Sands Pt.
At 1031 we sighted NYC for first time.
At 1051 we went by “Stepping Stones” and the Throngs Neck Bridge. We anchored for almost two hours at 40º48’53”N 073º47’27”W to wait for the tide to be in our favor. In the meantime, Vitto found that the electrical problem with the blower and the forward head was that the ground came loose.
