Travel to Istanbul
Joel SchroederI left from LAX last night just a bit before midnight and landed at JFK around 8am, beginning a long day of waiting...our flight to Istanbul departs at 6:45pm. Rick and Kathy, the rest of the crew, were delayed out of Portland and got in at 10am. We went to a nearby Howard Johnson hotel to relax in a room since we've got so much time. Luckily, our hotel in Istanbul will be much nicer, as we have rooms at the Four Seasons. Back at the airport, we were able to hang out in the Korean Air executive lounge, which was nice because of the drinks, snacks, and internet. We won't land until about noon on Tuesday, Istanbul time.
