=========================
This post is a segue from the Santa Fe fall fun series to this series of pictures and stories. We left Santa Fe one fine evening and traveled to Farmington, New Mexico. You pass through some of the First People's lands as you travel to Farmington and then the next day we traveled through more of them.

A great deal of the time we were in the Navajo Nation and this is what the picture is in this story. One of the towns you pass through is Kayenta which has a Burger King with an excellent display of the Navajo Codetalkers of World War II. The last of the code talkers died recently so this is an more important part of our history. Next to this Burger King is a museum of more history and well worth the stop to take it all in. From there you head on to Page Arizona and across the dam to the Wahweap Marina on Lake Powell, our destination.
