We checked out of the hotel in Clarion about 10 to drive to Hope, New Jersey to see Walter and his new bride of a year and a half, Jo. When we got to Hope, it was too early to check in at the Inn at Millrace Pond, so we went to Walter's house to visit. He put out some nice cheese and cracker snacks which were great since we had not stopped for lunch. About 4 p.m., he drove us to the inn so we could check in and leave our luggage, then gave us a driving and walking tour of Hope. After more visiting at his house, he took us back to the inn for a break. We returned for his wonderful home cooking after Jo had had time to get home from work. What a sweet person she is to let us come for the evening to visit when we had not met her before. Walter fixed a seasoned pork roast, green beans, and baked potatoes served with bread and good wine. It was a wonderful dinner and delightful evening of renewing old friendships and making new ones.
