Sailing to Havre De Grace, MD
From Baltimore we continued to Havre De Grace, Chesapeake City, transiting C&D canal, down Delaware Bay, round Cape May, Atlantic City, Barnegat Bay and the gateway to NY - Sandy Hook, NJ

We have anchored out in each of these places and docked at a marina in Cape May. The new engine proved to be extremely economical drinking less tha 1/2 g/h. We need water more often than diesel and do not need the shore power at all with solar and wind electricity pumping plenty into our batteries.

When I occasionally look in the mirror and see my red/brown neck I pat myself on the shoulder saying well done. No matter how much sun screen I use the sun is working its way through it.

We have enjoyed the outdoors more than we thought we would. Some places are magical and some are just plain pretty. We feel like blending with nature and the urban places and big cities look less and less attractive.

We will sort out the pictures and put them up on here in a couple of days.

Cape May has over 600 beautifully preserved and restored Victorian houses. There are no color restrictions in this town! Just get your brush out and go at it!

Beauty of Nature
Vlad, I agree that nature's beauty is best appreciated away from urban areas and crowds of people. This, coupled with the absolute freedom of movement offered by RV travel, is why we tour North America. We've explored, hiked and climbed in every lower 48 state but Vermont, Delaware and New Jersey. Next year, we'll explore Alaska and each Canadian province along the way. I appreciate your sailing adventures and fondly remember mine. But the range of a motor home cannot be equaled. Bon voyage. In our parlance, we'd say "Happy Trails." Best, Dan

Dan!
Dan! Thanks for the comment and sorry for the late reply. Hope you are having a great summer by the land and by the sea wherever the road might bring you!
