We are in the odd part of our trip, where there aren't a lot of things we really want to see, but we need to visit the next few states to make sure we visit every one. So this morning, we are in Connecticut, and just outside our hotel in Groton is a US Navy Submarine Base. There is a museum there called the Submarine Force Museum, it is small and free and run by the Navy, but docked outside us the actual USS Nautilus, the first nuclear sub. We have been on a diesel sub in San Francisco, and a diesel German U-Boat in Atlanta, but we have never seen inside of an actual nuclear submarine so this should be cool.
