Morning Coffee in Lambertville, New Jersey

Lambertville is a quaint town with lots of little shops at the most western edge of northern New Jersey. We're staying at the Inn at Lambertville Station, which is located right on the Delaware River. We can easily cross the river into New Hope, Pennsylvania, which is another cute town. Everything is easiliy accessible to us. We went to a wedding last night at Lambertville House and walked there with ease.

This morning, we wanted to take a stroll along Bridge Street to get some coffee. After hours of waiting for everyone else, I finally took off on my own to take in some of the sites. There's a beautiful, stone Catholic church, and an old Baptist church which my mom said is being turned into a music hall. Before too long, I spotted the rest of my family entering a coffee shop, and I trotted off to join them. The coffee shops only take cash, no credit cards (thanks, Uncle Mike, for buying my coffee!). We sipped a cup of joe from Buck's, and it had a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Before too long, we spotted the newlyweds strolling down Bridge Street, and we flagged them down for some proper

goodbyes and wished them the best for the start of their new life together. After lots of goodbyes to all our loved ones, we packed up our bags and left Lambertville behind us. I could have spent an extra day enjoying the town, but that will have to wait for another trip. It's on to New York for us; we're flying out of La Guardia!
