Another beautiful day for a hike. So we walked the Welch - Dickey Loop out of Waterville Valley. 5 hours on the trail over 2 summits with lots of rock ledge so lots of views, but again, quite hot! 87 degrees Even got a close up view of an Army helicopter swinging by the mountain top (very close) 5 times. A bit surreal. Alas the air is very hazy in the pictures, apparently because of wild fires in Canada. We pray for first responders there and anyone in the fire's path. We have several friends in this area who we only see every summer briefly, and sometimes less often.
