From Calgary drove South and crossed back into the USA for what can ultimately be summarised as the National Parks leg.

Waterton (Canada)/ Glacier (USA) International Peace Park... a National Park which spans the border basically.

Bozeman, Montana... Music on Main Street

Yellowstone National Park, Montana/Wyoming. http://www.nps.gov/yell/

Salt Lake City, Utah... witnessed some anti Bush/Cheney/War in Iraq demonstration, plus free beer from an anonymous source who bought everyone in Murphy's Bar a drink. http://www.skisaltlake.com/murphys.htm

Moab, Utah .... Arches NP. http://www.nps.gov/arch/

Cortez, Colorado ... Mesa Verde NP - Ancestral Puebloan Cliff Dwellings.

Flagstaff, Arizona .... Grand Canyon NP. Plus a pretty amazing free beer and bbq party.

To summarise the North America road trips, we entered 11 states in the USA, 2 provinces in Canada and drove more than 7000 miles!

This place was amazing and before visiting the NP had no idea it existed.

The words Grand and Canyon aptly describe this phenomenon.

If the descent into the canyon was tiring, I was in for a shock; ..the hike back up almost killed me!

My second time here, but this place has an awesome beauty.

Half Dome, Yosemite NP
View from Glacier Point. A glacier carved the shear face which made this dome half.

Tioga Pass, Yosemite NP
Probably the highest we got in N.America.
