Tim Loves Bridges !
This is a bridge we passed on the way through Big Sky Montana. We awoke this morning in West Yellowstone, Montana at the local KOA camp ground after a descent's night sleep. We knew we had a very long drive ahead of us so we got off to a pretty early start (around 8:30). Emily, Kayla and I grab our little shower buckets and head off to the showers while Tim decides he's going to try out the shower in the motor home today. You know that the girls always take way longer than me, so I'm finishing up my shower and getting ready to step out of the shower into the attached dressing area while they are still showering a few stalls down. I'm drying off, putting my powder on and trying to get dressed in this itsy bitsy tiny space that has this little mat thing in the floor to help keep you from slipping and stuff. Well, guess what ??? It didn't keep me from slipping, it actually slipped out from under my feet and I went flying up into the air and landed on my BUTT ! This old lady that had been patiently waiting for my shower yelled out to me "Mam, are you okay, do you need any

Scenic route through the rockies headed towards Helena, Montana. help?". I swear, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry !! I proceeded to get myself up off the floor, get dressed and step out into the common area where she stood. She asked me again if I was okay and I assured her I was fine. Then she started giggling and I asked her what she was giggling about and she said "I heard a thump and then all I saw was a big poof of powder in the air !!" I just wanted to crawl under a rock and die !! Okay, so I'm like hurry up girls so we can get out of here, PLEASE !! We manage to get all packed up and on the road to Glacier National Park and no, I'm not allowed to mess with the slides anymore! A short time into the road trip the girls decide that they are hungry and they would like some Toaster Struedels. So I break out my new toaster, plug it in and get started toasting. The next thing I knew my butt was in the floor again. Twice in one day, what are the chances?? Tim swears that someone pulled out in front of

Goofing around going through the rockies. us so he had to slam on the brakes in order not to hit them. I was trying not to hit the floor all the while not burning myself or anyone else with the hot toaster. Well I guess you can say that we are even now, he has a bump on his head and I have a bump on my rump !! I could see that this was going to be the longest 450 miles of my life !! Tim decided to take the scenic route to Glacier which would take us through Big Sky, Montana and right over the Rockies. I must say I was somewhat concerned because of the snow but it worked out fine. As we are driving Tim spots a road sign that says "Wildlife Crossing for the Next 11 miles". He was so excited, he just knew this is where he would see his bear. Well about 15 miles later he looks over at me and says " Baby, that sign lied to us !". Nothing could make this trip more perfect than for him to see a bear so just keep praying and I know it's coming soon. We continued on and got
Is That More Exercise ??
These girls hopped on bicycles and took off exploring the Montana countryside for hours. to see tons of beautiful scenery throughout Gallatin National Forest, Bozeman and Helena. Helena sounded really familiar to me so I pulled out "the book" and sure enough there it was "The Last Chance Gulch" in Helena, Montana. We had to go there, I had to be able to mark it off in the book and besides, Lynn had already highlighted it so that meant she'd been there before so that was all the more reason for us to see it. See Lynn (Tim's Cousin) and I are in this contest to see who can mark off the most places in her book. She's winning right now but I'm only halfway across the United States!
As we are looking for the Last Chance Gulch we come across a beautiful cathedral, The Cathedral of St. Helena, right in downtown Helena. I wanted to go in but there was a wedding going on so I had to settle for a few outdoor pictures. The girls were ready for some lunch and we see a place called Taco John's and decide to try it out. If you ever run across a Taco John's anywhere, do yourself a huge favor and DON'T stop !
The Beginning of the Fire !!
Emily volunteered to build the fire as Kayla carefully watched. It's getting late in the day and we've still got a long drive ahead of us so we eat real quick and then get right back on the road. Kayla and Emily are sitting up front with us as we are cruising down the highway and all of a sudden Tim spots a small sized prairie dog on the side of the road. The girls and I are like, "awe ain't he so cute" and as soon as we get right up to him, he takes off across the road and SPLAT he's dead ! Tim hits him going full blast and that was the end of the precious little prairie dog. Oh yea, as if that's not enough, he kills another one about 2 hours later !! After falling on my behind, watching two lifetime movies, killing two prairie dogs, some bad tacos and no bear sightings, we finally made it to St. Mary's KOA in St. Mary's, Montana. It's right beside Glacier National Park. We still had a little daylight left so we anchored down and decided to check things out. Kayla and Emmy rented bicycles and went exploring while I collected fire wood and Tim prepared the
Morning View !
This is what I got to wake up to this morning. Who could ask for anything more? RV for the night. We made smores by the fire, that would be the fire that Emmy built, and then settled in for the night. We are off to Glacier National Park tomorrow as well as Canada. I'm so excited !!

small game
Hey Tim: Sounds like you are handling the RV like a weapon. You need to get some stencils made like the small game you've killed with it, and paint the driver's side with em, like the fighter pilots...By the time you get back to Georgia, you'll be an RV ACE!!
