Today we slept in a bit and got on the road by 9. But not before we were informed that high up on the mountain across the road there was a 90 foot statute of the Blessed Virgin Mary! It's named Our Lady of the Rockies and sits on the Continental Divide. tried to get a good photo but it was kind of overcast, but pretty cool none the less. Next we found the Big Sky Brewery in Missoula and stopped in to see what as going on, etc. Left with a case of Moose Drool and a four pack of a stout, and some swag for Janet. back on the road and headed to Glacier National Park and arrived at the Lake McDonald Lodge around 4. Shortly after we headed to the lake to look around and saw they rented boats with small outboards, so we decided to rent one and cruise the lake. Had a great time until the motor started sputtering. So, after about thirty minutes we took the boat back and they didn't charge us because of the sputtering motor. What a deal! After a killer dinner we headed up to Logan Pass to see if anything
was going on up there. Very scenic drive up to the pass and once we arrived a bighorn sheep was posing for photos, so we snapped a few. We also spotted some mountain goats high up on a ledge and got some good photos. On the way back down we saw a nice sunset (actually it was a spectacular sunset and just couldn't get the camera to do it justice), and felt the day just couldn't get any better. Unfortunately, no internet in our room and will have to publish in the morning.
