East Meets West: Geoff - a British rider, one of many East-to-West bike tourists that we met in KS.

These guys referred to themselves as "Six Warriors". They're a group of sandal-wearing retirees we met riding recumbent (seated) bikes out of KS. I don't think that a group of teendage boys could be having a better time... Google their name, if you want to see their blog.

Tim and John (SF to Virginia) caught up with us as we were eating pie at the East Side Cafe. They really missed their familes, so they were doing crazy mileage each day in order to finish the trip faster. We don't love our families THAT much.

Yup, it's all rubbed in.

Day 27

You can see cars with license plates that are from all over the country in the parking lot of this mega store. Too bad "outdoors" doesn't involve anything this requires excercise - only ATV's, fishing, and hunting.

We spent a day off in Springfield, MO, with my former lab mate, Jay, his wife, EJ, and family. Thanks for the clean shirt Jay!

I Met Anne's Other Boyfriend (FORE-do not read)
Anne- I met Ronnie Lott. Isn't he your other boyfriend or is it some other football dude? He's friends with my CEO and they're in some club that met in the office yesterday and I made him coffee, because not only am I a HR Generalist, I'm also an admin (they haven't figured out I'm not detail oriented and a bad hostess). Anyway, a very nice man and quite hunky. Sorry FORE. KJ - KJ

Anne and Forest thanks for the comic relief while at work. Ann, you did not tell me you "roomed" with Dayna at Duke. Funny story ask later. And you know that hunting and fishing store you were at (called BassPro Shop) it is by my parents house in Nixa, Mo, just outside Springfield and Jen and I have been there, it was actually the first place my parents took us after we landed in Springfield after a red-eye flight, go figure. Anyway, continue to have good luck and take a picture of a BMW or Mercedes with license plate from a Southern state. - Eric
