First things first: Happy Birthday, Sara - our granddaughter's birthday is today.

On this visit to Tunica (note we have had three so far) our choice of a casino hotel was the Gold Strike. Our new friends from Atlanta said that is where they always stayed. The casino was really nice but the roomS (note the pleural) weren't. Our FIRST room had a live, crawling, centipede-like creature crawling around in the bathtub. We're out of there! One bug...how many more?? Our SECOND room had issues but found too late to move. I moved the desk lamp only to find a white powdery substance!!! Could it be???!! When taking our morning shower, "someone's" shampoo bottle was found hanging on the rod. There were brown flecks on bathroom floor and a caked-on gob of something on inside of handle!!!! Give us our RV! This is why we don't like staying in places other than our own RV where we know it's our own dirt and grime. They weren't offering to comp our room until Cory shared our displeasure with them...plus I have a photo of the bug.......We got the room for free. Fortunately, the visit was not all bad. through as always....the "hard six" & "hard eight" bring him his success on the crap table. It is good we will be leaving the area...we know "it's time to fold them" as Kenny Rogers would say.

We need to stay away from the buffets, also. They will have to enlarge our RV door if we don't watch it (P.S.- they fixed our door latch so it won't fly open when traveling) . We indulged in the dinner buffet at the Gold Strike which was tasty to say the least. This morning, we went to the breakfast buffet at Fitzgerald's Casino --- not very good but had a nice view of the barges traveling on the Mississippi River.

Homeward Bound now to Sweet Home Alabama. Pleeeeeeease let me be able to refer to another state with our travels SOON!
