After our slow start, we covered a lot of ground today. Here's a quick state summary:

Indiana: We were in Indiana for a good while before noticing, due to lack of signage....not great for a state that has such a cute name (inDIANA)

Illinois: Probably our worst experience so far. Tons of traffic, we almost ran out of gas, became fugitives from the law, and did NOT win the lottery.

Wisconsin: The signage was the biggest disappointment of all. "Wisconsin Fun, next exit"?!?! Could you be more vague?!? And highways with such creative names as "B" or "MM". And exits like "B French Is"...um, what?!?! And don't get Diana started on the dells....she spent all day wondering what the Wisconsin Dells were/was (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dells_of_the_Wisconsin_River) and Sarah spent that time laughing hysterically and refusing to use an iphone to solve the mystery

The signage disaster led to this rant: "Fucking A. Indiana and Wisconsin? Horrible signage! I'm angry! These are the memories! These are important things and we are missing them due to lack of signage. I'm so angry!" -Diana

Minnesota: Love it so far...especially since we were properly notified when crossing the state line (I'm looking at you Indiana and Wisconsin!) We also made new friends at the local Red Lobster while for waiting for take out.

And now for some highlights/quotes:
- "Why does beer sound good to me at 9:50 in the morning" -Diana
- Sarah, the navigator, has now asked what state we're in at least 7 times. Sometimes several times in the same state.
- At 1 pm we made the tough decision not to stop at RV Museum and Hall of Fame....now regretting this decision because we are unclear as to what exactly an RV Hall of Fame would consist of, damn.
- Sarah has never been to a Sonic, so Diana has a new goal for the trip.

From our last few minutes of the day, driving into the mountains of Minnesota...clearly we were drunk
- "Like, we are IN the clouds, that's how high we are right now." -Diana
- "What's ahead? It looks like it could be land, or air, or water, or death." -Diana
- Best exchange of the day:
- Diana: How much higher can we climb? Where are we going?
- Sarah: Heaven. Diana, I didn't want to tell you this...
- Diana: We drank the koolaid?
- Sarah: We drank the koolaid. (Chris, apparently we were at your funeral...did you die?)
- Upon seeing the restaurant, Amish Ovens:
- Sarah: I feel like Amish food would be really boring
- Diana: 40 second tirade about how rude it is to call Amish people boring
- Sarah: FOOD! I SAID FOOD!!!

Tomorrow we plan to get up, head to Iowa to see the site of the Buddy Holly Crash, then continue on to South Dakota. And possibly get Diana a new hair color along the way!
