Hello to all of Carin's Family and Friends,
This is Abby, Cari's sister and she wanted me to send a little update via her blog to all of you.

A little over a week ago Cari was taken to the University Hospital in Santiago by her host mother where she was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. She has been on IV antibiotics and is getting stronger everyday. From what we her from her doctors and Cari, she should be going home within the next few days.
