Geo: 42.3714, -83.4703While in Michigan, Kim and I decided to have our Mustangs shipped to San Diego. They had been in storage for almost 5 years and we did not know what to expect. We had 24 hours to get both cars out of storage and get them running. Kim's father Tom and our friend Jim joined us for the car preparations. Kim's '72 Mach 1 needed a new fuel pump and some trans fluid. With fresh oil and gas both cars were soon running. Two Days and Counting... The packing has begun, the itineraries have been sent out, the newspaper has been stopped as we are less than 48 hours from departure on our trip to Spain. Along with our intrepid biking buddies, Jim and Denise, we are heading to Spain for two weeks to do some bicycling, touring, flamenco dancing and good eating. Geo: 42.372, -83.4679This is what I will call the "in-transit" phase of this whole story. The movers are coming tomorrow, Thursday and Friday to pack up our things for the long ride to England. And because we are currently laptop-less and will not pack our desktop in our luggage.... we will be computer-less!! This I think will be the hardest part of the transition. I am going to become very close friends with my local librarian. So let me take you back and tell you how we got here.
