Dear People, Well Daylight Savings Time is now over and although blue skies woke us up this morning, it is definitely on the chilly side. No more rain as the residue from Noel passed in a day. The campground has turned off the water, but we still have power. Showers & hot water are available in the bathroom and fresh water can be had from a long hose in the men's bathroom so we can fill up. Yesterday was a good day to relax and watch the rain come down. We have been reading a lot; I'll submit a reading list before our trip is over. Evenings are spent with games: cribbage (D leads by 1), gin (W by 2), Scrabble (W by 2), Phase 10 (both card & dice are too close to count), and a new one Farkel (Em & Bill told us about that one). Last night, however, we got into our pj's and curled up in bed to keep warm and watched a DVD on our laptop; we saw "The Game of Their Lives". We enjoyed it as it is based on a true story of a soccer team and it's a feel good story, suitable for children. We finally heard from Rebecca. Although Lon was to be released on Thursday after his surgery, when the Dr. removed the drain, a clot burst and he had to go back in and fix it. So, it wasn't until Saturday that he was released. Rebecca said things looked better now and that baby Nicholas was a trooper through it all. Dave and I had gone to the Shrine of St. Anne and said a prayer for him and it looks like it was answered. We also went there to Mass today; it was a lively, family Mass. Afterwards, we went and saw the icon collection, Assumptionist Exhibit of Russian Icons which were all brought here by Assumptionist priests who served as chaplains to the foreign diplomatic corps in Moscow when communism would not allow the practice of religion. They were very spiritual. And, we were taken by the fact that there were so many depicting St. Nicholas the Miracle Worker, and baby Nicholas is now a part of our family. We took Timmy for a long walk through crunching leaves to a candy store where we had coffee & cones. Talked to Jenn, Dylan, and Jonah so we heard about Jonah's championship volleyball team and Dylan's CHS Football rout of Soledad...the Shoe Game vs. PG is next. Well, it's time to fix some dinner...ham & spaghetti squash; I usually cook dinner & Dave does the dishes and we reverse it for breakfast. We are HAPPY CAMPERS. love, DWT
