The last few days flew by so quickly! After Memphis we drove over Birmingham to Atlanta to Augusta (where we watched the Soccer Game Germany vs. Portugal and Germany WOOOON) to Charlston to Raleigh to the Amish-Land and finally we made it to Massachusetts!! We met alot of funny, interesting and weird people. We had all kinds of weather: Hot sunshine, freezing snow and annoying rain. We heard alot very different accents, that we could barely understand. People could barely understand us, too. We saw Gas between 2.99$/ Gallon and 5.50$/ Gallon. We had good food (seafood in South Carolina was just the best!) A great, full day at Smith. These folks really know how to put on an educational event... oh, wait, they're a college. Riiight. Campus, at 8 AM on the first Saturday of the school year, was hilariously empty and silent. We were shuttled to one of my old haunts, Wright Hall (the one with the owl), for a morning keynote and panel. I was pleased to recall that my first time in the Wright Hall auditorium had been as a first-year for an SGA showing of "Rocky Horror". Before things started, I walked over to the new Campus Center in a futile search for coffee. (No caffeine available until 9 AM... these students are really serious about the sleeping in thing.)
