Day 185 (Wednesday 21/10/09, NJJ)
Today is 212 years to the date that the USS Constitution was launched in Boston. Drove to Alewife where we got the metro into Boston. Started by doing The Freedom Trail Walk - Boston Common, Sate House, Granary Burying Ground, Kings Chapel and Burying Ground, Franklin Statue, Old South Meeting House, NPS Visitor Centre, Boston Massacre site, Old State House, Paul Revere House, Faneuil Hall, North Market area, Old North Church, Copp's Hill Burying Ground, Charlestown bridge, USS Constitution and Bunker Hill Monument. On Thatcher St there was a film crew working on 'The Town' which is starring Ben Affleck but as they all had masks on we didn't know if he was there. Lunch at Quincy Market - Jay had chilli in a bread bowl and I had NE Clam Chowder. Got the metro back to Alewife, stocked up on salads and pasta for tea and munched on dinner before bed.
