in only 22 more days (not including today) james, dan, and i will be off to europe for a glorious 8 weeks. james and i have never gone abroad like this before, but dan has been living in antigua by himself for the last several months, so i feel safer having him around.
our plan is to fly into stansted airport in london from dulles airport in virginia. we'll spend a few days in london, mosey on over to paris, then madrid and barcelona, etc etc. we have a basic idea of the
cities we'd like to visit, but not actual locations within the cities...
i enjoy not having a strict itinerary to follow. hopefully it'll make things interesting. we'd like to make our way all over europe by working in a rough counter-clockwise circle. hopefully we'll have time to get out to ireland before the trip is over. somebody told me you can just take a ferry right over to ireland. i hope that's true-- i can't afford a plane ticket!
