Baltimore and DC 2001

Our first stop on our east coast trip was in Baltimore and to the DC area. We were only in the area for a couple of days but we did take in a Orioles game and see some of the typical Washington DC sites. Before going to the Orioles game we stoped by the ESPN Zone and I do have to say that anyone who is a sports fan should eat in an ESPN Zone at some point . . . great food and a very fun atmosphere! The Orioles game was fun and I think that Camden yards was one of our favorite ballparks to visit. Obviously it did not have the history of Yankee Stadium or Fenway Park. But for what it lacks in history it makes up for in comfort. A truly great place to take in a game.

If time permited we would have spent more time in DC . . . we really just spent about 4 hours there. But we did see some of the big sites like the Washington Monument and the Vietnam Memorial. I have some pics that detail some of that. I think that when I go back I will check out the Smithsonain Museums for a full day.
