After New York, we travelled North to visit a friend who used to live in Lismore - Jill. The bus from New York took us to Boston where we caught a tram to the North Station to cach a train up to Portland. Unfortunately when we got there we found the train was full, so we had to catch the tram back again to the bus station and get a bus to Portland instead. Always fun bouncing around public transpo... We have been meaning to go on a decent trip for ages now. Last year some very cheap prices came up on bestflights, so we decided to take the plunge. After this it became all about saving as much money as possible. Working a lot, and spending stuff all (apart from the occasional necessary bike part or gadget). We are looking forwards to five months away, spending two weeks in Thailand, and the rest of the time split between Europe and North America. We haven't planned much - just hoping to see lots of great sites, and eat a pile of tasty food. Oh, there'll probably be a lot of food photos... full info

Teasel is used to treat a variety of things and especially Lyme disease.

This garden is mainly used for walks and just being a beautiful collection of plants. They generally aren't harvested. It's a pretty amazing and dense collection.

Black Cohosh

We've never seen it growing before.

Dragonfly

This garden is so healthy. There are a huge range of pollinating insects and healthy bugs around.

Zizyphus

A very popular herb to prescribe where we work, but we've never seen it growing before.

Milk Thistle

Such a pretty flower and the seeds are so incredibly effective for treating liver damage.

Caterpillar

This cheap(ish) camera takes some very high quality photos!

Haha. Great picture! I know exactly where this is, too. I used to show my paintings in the gallery you're standing in front of. Hope you enjoyed your time in Maine. Did you have any lobster?

Funnily enough we failed to try the lobster! We wanted to try the lobster rolls, but were surprised by how expensive they were (we can get pretty awesome lobster where we live at home).
