An evening at Stella’s Jazz Nocturnal in Castine, ME

As our SUV winds through villages set along the shore, we linger to view the rocky bay of Castine, Maine.

This magnificent harbor holds an imposing ship used to train sailors attending the Merchant Marine Academy- youthful students who frequent Stella’s Jazz Nocturnal for a night out. Hearing rhythms from the double bass, we order a juicy pizza licked by flames in the stone oven open for all to see. Feeling the warmth from the fire, we know why this is a favorite spot to those near and far. You must come visit too!
