On the way from Niceville, Florida to New Orleans we went through a small part of Alabama and Mississippi. We drove down to the coast to see Biloxi and Gulfport. The destruction from Katrina was still very much there. Although major clean up has been going on it seems like there is no end in sight for the recovery.

As we entered Alabama we saw that even state officials can't spell... see the picture!
