This photo of the swimming pool shows only the center of it and does not include two wings that may be at least 75 ft. each. The air was too cool for people but lesser scaup, pied-billed grebe, and ruddy ducks were having a great time.

Most of the campsites had little adobe-styled pavilion built by the CCC’s in the 1930s.

Though built in the 1930's, the structures such as the bath house were still in excellent condition.

Spring flow averages 1.0 million gallons per hour. It flows into nearby Balmorhea Lake.

The following day was beautiful, but it rained during our first day in Tucson.

Western secondary roads are usually straight and flat. Generally, the speed limit is 75 mph, although we seldom exceeded 65 mph.

A great, isolated park to the south and east of the city. Near a large air force base and raiiload line, it can be a bit noisy.

Last year we saw a family group of three Harris Hawks at Sweet Water and were delighted to find that they were still there. One of the birds followed us around perhaps eyeing Moxie as an entre.
