Our last day in Paducah today, Marilyn and I went to the American Quilters Society Museum. Geoff and Tom went to Bluegrass Downs a race track just out of town. We all met up for lunch at the rotunda in the centre of town. The quilt museum was spectacular, a pleasure to be there.
We made our way south east, to Sth Union Kentucky, to stay at the Shaker House Tavern B&B. It looked like a great southern mansion with large white columns at the front, with shaker rocking chairs on the porch....... For the next hour after arriving I took photos of every detail ! We all needed a ladder to get into bed.... the beds were so high ! After settling in and having a history lesson we decided to drive into Bowling Green, about 5 mile away, to have some dinner.... we found a great place called "Logans" where we made a mess on the floor with peanut shells.
