We had another great road trip day. We left Morehead a little after 8:00 am, went across the time zone into Central Time, and arrived at Mammoth Caves around 11:30 am CT. We drove around Lexington, Kentucky and passed the Keaneland Horse Track, that was surrounded by rolling hills with white fences....definitely what we think of when we think of Kentucky.

We we then stopped by Lincoln's birthplace in Hodgenville, Kentucky, before heading on to Mammoth Caves. Mammoth Caves has the distinction of being the longest cave system in the world, with over 400 miles of documented tunnels. We did 2 miles of them. It was pretty impressive.

On to St. Louis, MO tomorrow. It is a 6 hour drive but it is supposed to rain tomorrow, so we will see how far we decide to go!
