Tell people here that you are going to take a run through Texas and they tend to smile a little, nod, mention San Antonio, and perhaps Austin, but, other than that, well ... I didn't believe them. Our travels over the years have often sought out those places that we haven't yet experienced. We have loved chasing new places, but there is a change underway. We continue to enjoy experiencing other cultures along with their food, beverages, history and ways of life but now, having a little more freedom, we will also make more effort to seek out out such things as music events and festivals, particular natural attractions that we have missed and places where we can better appreciate the history of a place and its people. Ahhh yes, very pleasant memories rekindled of large frozen margueritas on the Riverwalk on a hot dry day in Sanantone (Texans tend to leave the io off). Such an inventive means of making the best of a drainage ditch!

Texas is unique. I lived in Lubbock for a bit and Dave and I lived in San Antonio for a summer. I have relatives in Austin and a few small towns. See you soon!

Brisvenice used to have a river walk - and it was awesome. That was, untill it was taken from us. Still, at least it allowed us to acquire the name Brisvenice... Win some, lose some.

I have to tell you that the BrisVenice one has a way to go. Bigger river though. They did the one in San Antone partly to reduce floods.
