Maquoketa Caves State Park, IA

Today we got a late start on our trip to Maquoketa Caves State park. During clean up today Nate found a new friend in the dumpster, Mr. Racoon. Of course, Nate filmed him and had full discussion with the racoon. Once I finished working, we hit the road.

We had about a 4-hour drive to Maquoketa Caves State Park. We got in and set up quickly in hopes to enjoy the wooded campground. As usual something had to throw our plans off... during dinner one of the doggies vomited on both the beds. I mean why stop at one bed when there's two to throw up on right? Since it was kind of time to do laundry anyways, we went to the 24-hour laundromat, so here we are at the laundry mat at 8:00 p.m., doing laundry, living our best life.
