Here I am in Farmland USA and I think my pup loves the smell...
Lke truckers-All I do is drive 11 hours a day:eat, sleep, gas up and dive back in!
I am becoming "Road Dawg" (like Rem Dawg-but on tour) America the Beautiful on the 4th of July!
It's pretty cool, but I wouldn't want to do it every day, every week etc. You learn and se a lot.. too fast
to photo but I have saved a lot of images: like places to go with names that I know, stadiums and city after city. I saw a baseball field in the middle of nowhere in Iowa, seriously in a cornfield. Giant windmills (and Doo doesn't even like ceiling fans!) I like Iowa it is so wide open and green, but can't wait to leave this heat behind.. heat index 111 today in Indianapolis! I sing so much with the radio, I learned to tune my guitar by ear so far and many other cool things from the Road! I am having an awesome time meeting America! Happy Independence Day to US!!

A Grand Old Day!
Glad to ride along with you through our great country............. it will really be an unforgettable adventure to view fireworks from (??) I think you are trying to reach Minot ND tonight? In EL, this is the ONLY day they predict showers/storms. Can you believe that? Parade will step off from ELHS at 9:30 this morning. We will all be watching from the sidewalk in front of the office. (Me and E; Ann and Joel; Jacqui, Rick and Michal: Uncle Bob and the new pup; Lynn and Katie maybe....she thinks it may be too early for her! Also Carol, Jennifer and little Alexander will join us so it will be a lot of fun.) Hope the rain holds off. Ann and Joel have never seen the EL 4th parade and I want them to be properly impressed with our little town. The Mummers will not march if threat of rain and they have their big contingent supposed to participate. After the parade we all go to Lynn's house for a picnic. Then home and will watch fireworks on tv from Boston probably. Hope I can stay awake? Anyway, my son, safe travels and "talk with you"on your blog tomorrow too! This is a great idea. Love you, Mom
